Caroline's sewn textile works — the foundation for everything that follows.

Each wall hanging is built from appliqué and patchwork in linen, cotton, Alcantara and horsehair. The shapes were cut by hand and stitched down in layers, until both image and relief emerged. Each piece took weeks, sometimes months.

The motifs come from Old Norse history and from nature. A sense of belonging runs through Caroline's images — rarely a lone figure, almost always many heading the same way.

The originals are unique. No more will be made. Here they are available as signed prints.
